A beautiful simple Christmas song for children
A simple, yet very effective song for children. Teach each verse as an individual tune, then put them all together in turn.This song is written for Key Stages 2 and 3 with these purposes in mind.
1. It should be enjoyable enough for the children to want to sing it.2. It allows the children to understand part singing by introducing each part as a different tune.Teaching notes
Split your singers into 4 groups, but start by teaching the piece the whole way through. Once you are confident give each group a different part and introduce them one-by-one to the main tune. Ideally you will place an adult/teacher leading each group and bringing them in. If not - start each group off by singing their first time through with them. Once all parts have been addred, you can sing through the whole thing as many times as you like (adding clapping, tambourines, bells etc) building to a cresendo.Download contains;
